Gibson Ek High School, Class of 2024

Rather than conventional classes for letter grades, Gibson Ek High School (Issaquah, WA) students use Stanford University’s “design thinking” model as a framework for learning through self-directed and guided projects, incorporating core academic content along the way. My projects focused on mechanical engineering culminating in the creation of functional motor engines.
